What it is

The right paperwork, on the first try

Document management for immigration means preparing each document exactly as the Spanish authorities require: with the corresponding Hague Apostille or consular legalization, a sworn translation if the original is not in Spanish, and the order and format each authority expects. A single formal error can delay your nationality, residence, degree recognition or visa application by months — that is why we review every document before it is submitted.

🌍Hague Apostille vs. consular legalization

If the document comes from a country that has signed the Hague Convention, the apostille is enough: a single stamp that makes it valid in Spain. If the country of origin is not part of the convention, consular legalization is required, a process with more steps (ministry in the country of origin, Spanish consulate) that we handle from start to finish.

🖋️Sworn translation

Any document not written in Spanish must be accompanied by a sworn translation carried out by a sworn translator-interpreter appointed by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. We coordinate the translation of your entire case file so it arrives ready to submit, with no back-and-forth.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about document management

What is the difference between apostilling and legalizing a document?
The apostille is a single stamp valid between countries that have signed the Hague Convention. Consular legalization is a process with more steps, required when the country of origin is not part of that convention.
How long does a sworn translation take?
It depends on the volume and the language, but for common documents (certificates, degrees) it is usually done within a few business days. We give you an estimated timeframe based on your specific case.
Do all foreign documents need an apostille?
Not all of them: some bilateral agreements exempt certain documents exchanged between specific countries from the apostille or legalization requirement. We check this before starting the process so we never ask you for unnecessary steps.
Can I submit certified copies instead of originals?
Many procedures accept a certified or verified copy of the original, so you don’t have to part with the physical document. We let you know when this is possible, depending on the authority where it will be submitted.
