FAQ

Frequently asked questions about immigration

What immigration procedures does Morales Asencio handle?
We handle any residence permit in Spain, for both EU citizens and non-EU nationals. We also have specialized areas for Spanish nationality, residence permits (EU and temporary), highly qualified professionals and recognition of foreign degrees so you can join the workforce in Spain.
How long does an immigration procedure take in Spain?
It depends on the procedure: temporary residence is usually resolved within 1–3 months, while nationality can take between 18 and 36 months in practice, even though the legal deadline is 1 year.
What documents do I need to start an immigration procedure?
At a minimum, a valid passport and a criminal record certificate from your country of origin or previous residence. Depending on the procedure, we will help you gather all the documentation and take care of everything: obtaining documents from foreign authorities, diplomatic legalization at consulates and the Hague Apostille.
Can I start a procedure if I am already in Spain without legal status?
In many cases, yes. There are routes such as social, employment or family arraigo (settlement-based residence). We analyze your specific situation in the free consultation to tell you what options you have and the most viable route to joining the workforce in Spain.
How much does the first immigration consultation cost?
The first consultation is completely free and with no obligation. We analyze your case and explain the available options before any financial commitment.
